Returns and Refunds Policy

Thank you for shopping with Adam From Home. We hope your new products bring you a lifetime of happiness, however, we understand getting your home picture perfect isn’t easy and sometimes you may need to return or exchange an item and try again.

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it to us for a full refund or an exchange. Please see below for more information on our return policy.

All returns must be postmarked within fourteen (14) days of the purchase date.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in perfect condition, unused, unwashed and in the same condition that you received it, it must also be in the original packaging with all original tags and labels still attached.

Taped down product boxes or a returns label attached to a product means the item will not be considered in an unused condition. Any items marked/washed/used/burnt/scratched will not be refunded and it may be returned to you or a deduction may be taken from your refund, we will contact you to make you aware of this.

When 14 days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

If you would like to return an item, please email customer services at [email protected], we ask that you can please provide your original order number as well to make the process faster.

Place the item securely in its original packaging with all original tags and labels still attached and mail your return to the following address:

Please note, you will be responsible for all return shipping charges.

We strongly recommend that you use a trackable method to mail your return as we are not responsible for any damages that may occur during transit to us and we don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Adam From Home cannot be held responsible for any good lost in transit when using postal services to or from the customer.

After receiving your return and inspecting the condition of your item, we will then begin to process your return or exchange.

We will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund or exchange.

Please allow at least ten (10) working days from the receipt of your item to process your return or exchange.

We will notify you by email when your return has been processed.

Refunds will be credited to the card used to make the original payment following inspection of the returned goods.

In the unlikely event of any late or missing refunds (if applicable) please first contact your bank; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund, please contact us at [email protected].

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted, if applicable this will be discussed with you independently.

This applies to the rare circumstances of items not in their original condition, damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

Our “Goodwill” refund policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act or other applicable legislation which can be viewed below.

Our ‘Goodwill’ refund or exchange policy is offered on our products when gods are returned with a valid order summary. You can access your order summary via your account Dashboard > Orders tab on your Adam From Home account or via your confirmation emails.

For items purchased in our sale, we’ll be happy to either refund or exchange an item if you change your mind within 14 days of receipt. This is in addition to your statutory rights below. Our refund and exchange policy for 99p/final clearance sale items differs and unfortunately cannot be returned, this will be made clear to you at the time of purchase.

All online orders will have a paper summary attached when posted out, alternatively the sender should also receive a digital copy of the receipt.

If you wish for an exchange or return an item you haven’t purchased yourself, please contact us as [email protected].

Without proof of purchase any refunds will be issued as Gift Cards or Credit Note, these are non-refundable, please see exclusions for further details on our Gift Card and Credit Note policies.

If you believe your item is faulty or damaged please contact us immediately via email at [email protected] with images and a short description and we will advise you on the next steps to take. Please do not attempt to fix the item as this may affect your entitlement for a refund or exchange.

Please do not dispose of your item unless one of the team have advised you to.

If the item is agreed to be faulty all further arrangements and costs will be covered by us.

If you are unable to send us photos of the damage/fault, you will need to return the item at your own expense. We will then inspect the item upon receiving it. If our inspection confirms the damage/fault we will refund your postage cost (Please note we will only refund the value we would charge to post it to you).

After receiving your faulty item and inspecting it’s condition, we will then begin to process your return or exchange (if in-stock).

We will notify you by email when your refund or exchange has been processed.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, any manufacturing fault occurring within 6 months of receiving your product, we will offer a replacement or refund.

If you accidentally receive the wrong item or find your order is missing an item, please let us know within 7 days of receiving it so that we can attempt to rectify the issue immediately. You will not be charged delivery on rectifying shortages or returning/replacing errors.

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

● Made to Order – Once a ‘made to order’ product has been purchased and entered the production stage unfortunately this order cannot be cancelled nor refunded, these include include but are not limited to furniture and curtains.

● Sofa In A Box – Once a ‘Sofa in a box’ product has been purchased and entered the production stage unfortunately this order cannot be cancelled nor refunded.

● Personalised – Any personalised items. (Unless the product is faulty/broken on delivery).

● Knowing the item was faulty when purchased/Ex-Display  – Products which have price reductions due to factors such as scratches/dents/damage are Non-Refundable – This will be agreed upon purchase and will be clearly visible to the customer.

● Items damaged whilst trying to repair it by yourself or someone else – If an item is damaged and requires repair please contact, [email protected] to arrange a refund or exchange, never attempt to fix items yourself or by someone else as this will void the refund/exchange agreement.

● 99p clearance – 99p sale items will be marked as final reduction and are final sale and cannot be returned unless faulty. This will be made clear to you at point of purchase and will be clearly identifiable from other promotional items. These will be clearly marked as Final Reduction and are not to be confused with full price produces marked with 99p that has been set by our supplier.

● Shipping Costs – Shipping costs are non-refundable, if you receive a refund due to exchange, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

● Gift Cards – Any purchases of gift cards are non-refundable.

● Credit Notes and Discount Codes – No change or refund will be given for any unused Credit Note or part of credit note. Credit Notes and discount codes are Strictly Non-transferable and cannot be sold or exchanged for cash. Credit Notes and Discount Codes will be valid until the date stated on each individual Credit Note, Adam From Home reserves the right to refuse Credit Notes and Discount Codes with reasonable cause.

● Duvets, Pillows, Pillow Protectors, and Mattress Protectors/toppers – Due to health and hygiene reasons any opened or unpacked Duvets, Pillows, Mattress Toppers/Protectors, and Pillow Protectors are non-refundable or exchangeable unless faulty. If you wish to return any of these products, they must be securely sealed in their original packaging, have their security or hygiene seal still intact and with all original tags and labels still attached. These items will have their refund exclusions clearly marked on their pages.

● Beauty Products, Toiletries, and Liquids – Any purchases of beauty products/toiletries or liquids such as diffusers are non refundable due to hygiene reasons unless faulty.

● Perishables – Any purchase of Food, Drink, Alcohol, Flowers & House plants, Foods Gifts, Alcohol Gifts, Food/Drink/Alcohol Hampers are non refundable due to hygiene reasons unless faulty/damaged.

It is the responsibility of the customer to read all care instructions included on the products description before making your purchase. 

These may include but are not limited to variations in appearance from the website images due to handmade finishes, reactive glazes, or organic materials and exclusions from various refund and exchange policies due to health and hygiene reasons.

If an item is not cared for as per the guidelines and recommendations specified in the product’s description on our website, printed onto the item itself or its external packaging and the product has been damaged because of this, we cannot be responsible and will not issue a replacement or refund. 

Some of these Items may have their own terms and conditions, these will be provided for you at point of sale in the items description.

In addition to our 14 day returns policy, you also have certain statutory rights in relation to the products you purchase.

Cancellation Rights – If you are contracting with us as a consumer online or by phone, you have the right to cancel your contract at any time up to 14 calendar days after the day on which you receive the products you ordered. Please read the cancellations tab for further details.

Statutory Rights in relation to Faulty Products – The statutory rights in relation to faulty products apply to in store purchases, as well as online and telephone orders. For online and telephone orders, the timelines below will start from the date of delivery. For in store orders, the timelines below will start from the date of purchase.

Your statutory rights are as follows:

● Within 30 days of delivery/purchase of the product, you may exercise the right to a refund if the product purchased is not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose or as described.

● After the 30 day period, but within six months of delivery/purchase and where the product is faulty, you are entitled to a repair or replacement.

● Where repair or replacement is not possible, or the repair or replacement does not resolve the fault, you are entitled to a refund.

● After six months of delivery/purchase, similar rights exist, but only if you can prove that the fault was present at the point of delivery/purchase.

● In addition, if repair or replacement does not resolve the fault, we may make a deduction from any refund for fair use.

For further information about your statutory rights in the UK please contact your local authority Trading Standards Department or Citizen’s Advice Bureau.

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (the “Regulations”), if you are contracting with us as a consumer online or by phone, you have the right to cancel your contract at any time up to 14 calendar days after the day on which you receive the goods or services you ordered. For example, if you receive your order on a Thursday, you have 14 days from Friday to notify us of your cancellation.

If you have made a purchase through our Website or over the telephone and have paid for delivery but wish to return the full order by post you are entitled to a refund on the outbound delivery charge originally paid within 14 days of receipt of the order. Please note that the delivery charge refund will be the equivalent value of standard delivery.

Exclusions: The Regulations do not apply to flowers and plants, made to measure curtains and blinds, items that contain fresh or perishable food or to any items with a hygiene seal where the hygiene seal has been removed, broken or tampered with. In addition, they do not apply to goods or services purchased in store.

How do I cancel my order under the Regulations?

To cancel your order under the regulations, you must let us know in writing, which you can do by emailing us at [email protected]. Refunds for orders cancelled under the Regulations will be processed in accordance with your statutory rights.

You must take good care of the items while they are in your possession and they must be returned to us as soon as possible at your cost in the condition you recieved them. Please see the order summary that comes with your order for more details. Once we receive the whole order back we will issue a full refund via your original method of payment. Postage charges for returned products are the full responsibility of the purchaser, and are non-refundable by Adam From Home.

This is not intended to be a full statement of your rights under the Regulations. Full details of your rights are available from a Citizen’s Advice Bureau or a Local Authority Trading Standards Office.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Regulations or other legislation.
